Grocery Shopping!

Great day at the grocery store today! I got the following:

(4) packs goldfish - $4/4
(4) Campbell's soups $2/4
(2) Hillshire Farm sausage links $3.99, BOGO
(1) Kraft cheese explosion $1.15

I used the following coupons:

(2) $1/2 Campbell's soups HERE - final price 4 for FREE
(1) $1/2 Hillshire sausage 5/16/10 Red Plum - final price 2 for $2.99
(1) Get one free Kraft cheese explosion from my Kraft sample pack

When it was all said and done, I spent $6.99 for all of the above. The receipt said I saved $14.45 in between sale prices and coupons. Awesome! But alas, I forgot to buy milk...

Free Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer

More free stuff!! I should turn this into a free stuff blog... but I digress. There was a coupon in this past weekend's SmartSource coupon insert for $2/1 Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer but it EXCLUDED the 2oz trial size. However, you can go to coupons.com and find the same coupon, but WITHOUT the exclusion. Therefore, if your local Target carries the Jergens Natural Glow Moisturizer 2oz trial size in the travel section for $1.99 as mine does, you can get this for free! As always, your store may vary on its acceptance of coupons for trial sizes. However, you can bring the coupon along from the SmartSource that exluded the trial size, and show that this one specifically does NOT state the exclusion. My mom raised me to be hard-headed, and that's how I'll be!! Haha!

Free Kraft Foods Samples

I love free stuff! A few weeks ago I "liked" Kraft Foods on Facebook. They then let you sign up for some free samples! Today in the mail I received:

(4) 1.25 oz bags of Wheat Thins Sundried Tomato & Basil crackers
(3) single servings of Maxwell House Vanilla Caramel Latte instant mix
(1) coupon for a free box or cup of Kraft Cheesy Explosion
(1) coupon for a free package of Oscar Meyer Bologna or Turkey Pastrami

I'm not a big fan of giving out my address on websites, but this sample pack was too good to pass up! If I come across similar offers, I will certainly post them!

Tylenol Recall Check!

That was quick! I got my refund for the recalled Infant's Tylenol products on Saturday. I just sent the info in about a week ago. I guess they are really trying to save face! We've already replaced the recalled products we had with generics, so this makes up for those purchases.

Walgreen's trip 5/16

I made my Walgreen's trip later today than I normally do. Normally I am there 5 minutes before 8am, ready to get the good deals. However, I didn't make it until 1pm, and I figured my fellow couponers would have wiped the shelves clean that morning. Luckily, I was wrong! The shelves were stocked with both Gillette and Old Spice body wash! Here's what I came away with:

(1) Royal Jello ($0.19 -- needed to bring total to a positive amount after coupons)

Buy one Old Spice bodywash, get one old spice deodorant free
$5 RR pampers

Total oop: $0.75

Got back $4.50 RR Old Spice Body Wash for next week!

Total cost of products bought: $52.42
Total oop: $22.32
Savings: $30.10, or 57%!
